About ATTACKCYCLES

Independent · boutique · hand-built

ATTACKCYCLES is an independent, boutique wheel brand born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Since 2010, the mission has remained simple: deliver cutting-edge, tour-level carbon wheel technology at a fair price without compromising on durability.

Every ATTACKCYCLES wheelset is hand-built in small batches, featuring proprietary innovations such as weight-saving paintless carbon, custom ceramic-bearing ratchet hubs, and carbon spokes with titanium tips that are two times stronger than steel. From ultralight 1194 g road profiles today to 32 mm wide-internal gravel setups coming for high-volume tires, our wheelsets are engineered to keep you fast, smooth, and light on every ride. Backed by a 2-year warranty and a crash replacement program, ATTACKCYCLES is serious about your cycling journey.

Core value pillars

What every wheelset is held to

Military-grade precision

Built with the exact attention to detail learned while servicing U.S. Air Force jet turbine engines. Every wheel is personally trued, lubricated, and checked before it hits the road.

Cutting-edge carbon science

Featuring direct-from-mold paintless carbon that sheds 40 grams of excess finish, custom ratchet-style hubs with smooth ceramic bearings, and titanium-tipped carbon spokes that are stronger than steel.

Future-proof engineering

Designed ahead of industry trends, from ultralight 1194 g road profiles today to 32 mm wide-internal gravel rims coming for high-volume 2.4" tires.

Real-world durability

Built tough — not a fragile ultralight gimmick. A generous 120 kg / 264 lb system weight limit, a 2-year warranty and a crash replacement program.

About the owner

Gregory Freeman

Founder · U.S. Air Force veteran

Gregory Freeman’s journey with wheels began long before ATTACKCYCLES. Growing up building diesel truck engines alongside his father, mechanical craftsmanship and a love for speed were encoded into his DNA early on. At age 14, he fell in love with cycling after winning a junior high competition that led him to Maurice Sparks and the historic Major Motion Cycling Club in Los Angeles.

After serving in the U.S. Air Force as a jet engine mechanic—where paying attention to detail was a matter of life and death—Gregory brought that same jet-engine precision back to civilian life. After years of racing cars and motorcycles, he picked up a road bike at age 42 to get in shape, got hooked by the LA race scene, and never looked back. Frustrated by third-party gear that failed to meet his standards, Gregory started hand-building his own wheels in 2010 to ensure every set was done right. Today, every wheel that leaves ATTACKCYCLES is personally inspected by Gregory, carrying his passion for cycling straight to your ride.

“At ATTACKCYCLES, we’re not just serious about wheels—we’re serious about your journey. Let’s attack it together.”

Gregory Freeman, founder

Rooted in heritage

Introduced to cycling at age 14 through a junior high school competition, gaining his start alongside Maurice Sparks and Major Motion, a historic LA Black cycling club honoring Major Taylor.

U.S. Air Force precision

Served as a jet engine mechanic — one of the youngest qualified to start jet turbines on the ground. That training instilled the relentless attention to detail applied to every Attack wheel.

The racing drive

From building diesel truck engines with his dad to racing cars and motorcycles, speed and mechanics are in Gregory’s blood. He picked up a bicycle to cross-train at 42 and traded leathers for spandex.
